Skjølven opens a week of concerts in Denmark for Diane Patterson. Skjølven plays her own compositions for song and frame drum played by hand. The woman and the frame drum are an ancient tradition - a vocation - that goes back to priestesses, shamans and matriarchs in prehistoric times. Her songs are inspired by spiritual life, women's history, Viking Age and Nordic singing tradition.
